Cards, Elegant Thank You, Standard Wheels

Hand Made DSP

I love the wheel stamps.  My favorite thing to do with them is make my own printed paper (DSP).  To get the design perfectly lined up I use the Stampin’ Around Wheel Guide (104834).  It’s on page 204 of the current Stampin’ Up Idea Book and Catalog.  Which one of these is your favorite?

  • Stamps:  Elegant Thank You, Bella’s Border (pink background), Illuminated (chocolate chip background)
  • Cardstock:  Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Naturals White (card base)
  • Ink:  Regal Rose, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories:  Big Shot, Fun Flowers Die (121812), Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859), Decorative Label Punch (120907), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), Brads, Pearls, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I embossed the fun flowers with the square lattice embossing folder, then crumbled them in my hands before assembling.  I also sponged coordinating ink around the flowers to give them dimension.  I also lightly sponged some color around the regal rose paper to soften the white.

You may have noticed I usually use either naturals or confetti white or very ivory for the card base.  Our whisper white and very vanilla are WONDERFUL for stamping on – it gives such a smooth image.  However it is not that thick.  The naturals and confetti are the weight of our colored cardstock and make wonderful more interesting card bases then our whisper white or very vanilla.

Have a great weekend.
