1st Alternative Using October 2023 Paper Pumpkin – Home For The Holidays

Sorry for two posts in one day, but I have a busy weekend and wanted to share my alternative. I’m here to share my 1st alternative using the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit named Home For The Holidays. One of the first things I like to do when I receive my Paper Pumpkin kits is work with the stamps. I love that we received a home front stamp as well as the trees.

I wasn’t ready to cut up the homes from the kit so I stamped a few and started coloring them with similar colors. I tried watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Write Markers, and Blends. My preferred method was Markers or Blends. I just wasn’t getting as much saturated colors with the pencils. Maybe if I used a heavier hand using the pencils, I would like it better. Surprisingly the Markers did a great job. Since the area of coloring is small, I didn’t get a lot of streaks.

The trees were stamped in Mossy Meadow and then added Old Olive with a blending brush. The glitter glue on the roof tops and trees had to dry overnight.

After watching the video from Paper Pumpkin, I will just add glitter glue to the ledge and window sills like they did. I still like the dots I put on the trees. (They do not show that well in the photo. I think they show better in the video.

Here is a link to the video that shows how I made the card as well as coloring the house. – https://youtu.be/OnllHw-h-Oc
