Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Lovely Lavender

Today I am sharing my alternative as part of the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog hop. I will have a link to my other friends blogs below so you can follow along. It will be called Blog Hop Index.

The picture below shows how the kit was intended

For my alternative today, I decided to use the card front that has a bookmark you can punch out. I knew I wanted to put something different in that area. I thought about the embossing folder Painted Posies. I noticed there was lavender around the flowers. I measured the opening and added a little more so I could attach the embossed piece to the back. That comes out to 2.5 x 4 3/8″ to cut white cardstock for embossing. I then placed the white cardstock on the embossing folder getting just the right area I wanted embossed. After running through my Die Cut & Emboss machine, I colored the image using ink and sponge daubers. The Lavender in Gorgeous Grape, Leaves in Garden Green, and flowers in Crushed Curry. After coloring I adhered to the back of the card front and mounted this onto a thick white card base. To jazz it up a little, I added a butterfly from the Paper Butterfly Accents coloring the outside of the wings with a blending brush using Gorgeous Grape ink. The sentiment comes from Go To Greeting stamped on the label from the add on dies named The Love of Spring. I added the sentiment using dimensionals.

The full supply list is at the bottom of this post.
