2nd Alternative Card Using the January 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Lovely Lavender

Today I am here to share my 2nd alternative card using the January 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit named Lovely Lavender. This kit is so pretty. I love that it stretches me to use new colors every month.

I used the cardbase with the flowers for my first alternative and had the Gorgeous Grape watercolor wash side to use. When thinking of a layout, I remembered one I did with the December 2023 kit and thought I would see how it worked with this months kit. If you missed my first alternative you can find it here.

The best way to see how to make the alternative is watching my video on my YouTube channel. Here is a link to my video. A complete list of supplies is at the bottom of this post.

January 2024 Paper Pumpkin Lovely Lavender Alternative #RobinsCreations

Start out by cutting a 3.25 x 5 3/8″ piece of white cardstock with a border die. This month I decided to use the Elegant Borders Dies. I’m sure any border die would work that you may have already. I then layed it on my thick white cardbase to see how wide to cut the polka dot paper. You can use the cardbase or a cut up envelope. I chose to cut up an envelope. My piece needed to be 1 5/8″ wide so, I cut my envelope piece to 1 5/8 x 5 3/8 and adhered to a thick white cardbase on the right hand side. Next, cut the purple cardbase side in half at 2 1/8″ (2 1/8 x 5 3/8″). Adhere this piece on the left hand side of the white cardstock you cut with the border die. I then added ribbon between the purple piece and the decorative border. One of the cards uses ribbon left over from a long ago paper pumpkin kit (January 2018 Heartfelt Lovenotes. Then adhere this layer on the left hand side. Next stamp 2 lavender and fussy cut out. Die cut the second largest Thoughtful Expressions label in white. Stamp sentiment on the bottom of the label. Using some of the greenery in your kit (I cut mine apart), layer the leaves and lavender on label as you like it. Finally put the label on with dimensionals. The greenery on the right hand card is from the Painted Lavender Dies. The sentiment comes from Sale-A-Bration set Softly Sophisticated.
