Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Home For The Holidays

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop for the October 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit named Home For The Holidays. Here is the kit as intended.

I really thought this kit was going to be challenging coming up with alternates. In total, I was able to make 34 Cards – 6 different designs. 10 using the envelope, 4 each of each house die cut (12 cards), 8 from one cardbase front, and 4 from another card base that I am showing for the blog hop. If you are interested in seeing all the alternatives I made with this kit, visit my YouTube channel here. https://youtube.com/@RobinsCreations?si=-JLoo-ARZc8jNdqr

My last alternative for this kit uses the cardbase from the kit that has the houses printed on it. I started with a layer of white cardstock (4.25 x 5.5″) and stamped the edges with the snowflake stamp from the kit in Night of Navy Ink. I then ran this piece through the Die Cut & Embossing machine using the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder before adding this layer to a plain white thick white cardbase. Then I cut Night of Navy cardstock with the largest die from the Scalloped Contour Dies. I wanted to use this as a “window.” To make the window, I cut it out the center with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Dies, which are retired. If you do not have these dies, you could use the Deckled Rectangles, cut out the center using your paper trimmer, or not make it “window” style. For reference, the center cutout measures 4 5/16 x 3″. I used the same die to cut a white piece of cardstock. Next, cut the house cardbase to fit just inside the white piece measuring 4 3/16 x 2 7×8″ and adhered it to the white piece. Add the scalloped Night of Navy piece using dimenstionals. Adhere the house layered piece inside the frame. Stamp the sentiment and use the glitter paper banner behind it. I stretched these pieces by cutting each piece into 4 pieces and using the negative pieces as well. Finish off by adding the glitter glue to the rooftops and window sills. Below is a picture of the completed card. The supply list is at the bottom of this post. Keep in mind the stitched rectangles are retired so I added the deckled rectangles which would be a great substitute.
