4th and Final Alternatives Using February 2024 Paper Pumpkin – Sweet Springtime

Hello everyone. Today, I am here to share my 4th and final set of alternative cards using the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit named Sweet Springtime. This kit has been a lot of fun to work with.

If you missed my first three sets of alternative cards you can find them on my YouTube channel with the following links: https://youtu.be/5Cv1vpxNQEU https://youtu.be/kCiVMd3Ygu0 and https://youtu.be/1_CIpfGlb7k. I also did an unboxing which you can find here – https://youtu.be/vQ3SQY4kSog

The best way to see how I made these alternatives in in my YouTube Channel. Here is a link to the video. I full supply list is at the bottom of this post.

4th Alternatives #RobinsCreations

For my last set of alternatives, I needed to use the bunny cardbase in the kit. So I first cut the cardbase in half so I can use both sides to make alternatives

For the bunny side, I trimmed it down to 4×4 cutting at first from the bottom and then from the left side. I saved the bottom part that I cut off to use for the sentiment of the card. I then looked at the coordinating colors for this kit and really liked how Berry Burst brought out the little flowers and gave it a nice bright springtime feel. I needed some birthday cards for my family so that is the sentiment I used. I also needed one more for a boy so used Crumb Cake cardstock in place of the Berry Burst. Before adding to the card base, I added some ribbon across the bottom of the image. The sentiment is centered below the ribbon.

For the gingham side, I went with one of my favorite layouts I’ve used in the last few kits. To get 3 cards from the gingham piece, I trimmed it to 1 3/8″ twice leaving about 1.5 inches and all 5.25″ high. However before you cut your, make sure your top layer is wide enough so it overlaps the gingham piece a little. I adhered a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″ piece of Petal Pink card stock to a thick white cardbase, Then adhered the gingham piece on he right hand side. Next cut a 3.25 x 5 3/8″ piece of white cardstock and use a border die on the right-hand side. Also cut a 2.25 x 5.25″ piece of Petal Pink and emboss with your embossing folder of choice. If you a different ribbon adjust the width of your Petal Pink piece. If you do not have ribbon, you could use a strip of cardstock. Adhere your ribbon and Petal Pink pieces to the white scalloped piece. Stamp and color or die cut from Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight cardstock three daffodils. Also stamp a vase from the Welcome Inn past paper pumpkin kit in Misty Moonlight (or coordinating color of your ribbon) and die cut or fussy cut the vase. Adhere your flowers behind the vase, then adhere to the embossed piece. Stamp your sentiment of choice on a label of choice and adhere below the vase.

3rd Set of Alternative Cards Using the February 2024 Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hello everyone. Today, I am here to share my 3rd set of alternative cards using the February 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit named Sweet Springtime. I am having a lot of fun as usual making alternatives with the components of this kit.

If you missed my first two sets of alternative cards you can find them on my YouTube channel with the following links: https://youtu.be/5Cv1vpxNQEU https://youtu.be/kCiVMd3Ygu0. I also did an unboxing which you can find here – https://youtu.be/vQ3SQY4kSog

The best way to see how I made these alternatives in in my YouTube Channel. Here is a link to the video.

3rd Set of Alternatives #RobinsCreations

For the first card I wanted to continue to use all the supplies in the kit. I wanted to use the preprinted chick piece included in our kit. I wasn’t a fan of the printed chicks, but love the look of the stamps provided with the kit. So I decided to cover up the printed chicks with stamped images and die cut leaves from the Paper Pumpkin add on dies named The Love of Spring. I also like wanted to use some of the card bases from the kit. I cut the slim line card in half at the score line and then cut length wise to 5 1/8″ and then cut that piece in half. So I can make all 3 cards using the chick printed die cut and only use one card base with another piece left over. As always I like to add a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″ dry embossed to my thick white cardbase. I then adhered the card base piece I cut to the left hand side. I stamped and colored my stamped images and die cut leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock. I adhered all these pieces over the printed chick and then added the label to the card using dimensionals.

For the second card today, I wanted to use the wreath. I felt like it needed a little more so I thought of the Natural Prints Dies. The wreath size worked perfect. I forgot to mention in the video that you could also die cut several of the leaves from the Love Of Spring add on dies if you want to use what you may already have. I die cut the wreath from Garden Green cardstock and adhered it to the back of the wreath from the kit. I added my usual embossed piece to the thick cardbase, added the layered wreath with diminsionals, stamped my sentiment on the label from the kit, and added it to the card using diminsionals as well. I finished off the card by adding a bow to the bottom of the wreath and embellishments.

I hope you have enjoyed these alternatives. Below is a still photo and the product list for the items used are at the bottom of this post.

2nd Set of Alternatives Using The February 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sweet Springtime

Today I am here to share my second set of alternative cards using the 2024 February Paper Pumpkin Kit named Sweet Springtime. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and blog so you do not miss any additional alternatives made with this kit.

A full list of supplies used will be at the bottom of this post. As always, the best way to see how I made these alternatives if on my video in my YouTube channel. Here is a link to the video. If you missed my first set of alternatives you can find it here.

2nd Set of February 2024 Alternatives #RobinsCreations

For my 1st Card, I used the a cut up Petal Pink envelope. From one envelope you could get 4 cards by using the flap as well. Use a damp paper towel and gently swipe the glue from the envelope. Trim the petal pink envelope flap to 1.75 x 5.25″ (if wanting 3 from the main part of the envelope trim to 1.5 x 5.25″ and add to a layer of Petal Pink. Add 1/8″ to whatever your envelope piece is cut to. Die cut the 2nd Largest Thoughtful Expressions die in Petal Pink. Then die cut the 2nd largest Stylish shapes circle in white cardstock and adhere to the center of the Thoughtful Expressions die cut. Stamp, color, and cut out a Bunny and chick stamp from the kit. Die cut or punch some greenery in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green. Make 3 daffodils using either the add on dies or the stamp from the kit. Create your scene by using the greenery, flower, bunny, & chick on the label. Add a dry embossed layer to a thick white cardbase, add the Gingham layer to the left, your die cut scene using dimensionals, and sentiment of choice above the scene. Finish out the card with some embellishments.

For the second card, I used a cut up green envelope and remainder slimline card base from the kit. Die cut the remainder of the cardbase using the 3rd largest Stylish Shapes circle die. Die cut the opened green gingham envelope with the 2nd Largest Stylish Shapes die. Also using the same die, die cut either white cardstock or the bottom of the envelope. Use a blending brush to apply a light layer of Granny Apple Green on the last die cut layer. Stamp a vase in Blueberry Bushel and either fussy cut or die cut. This vase is from the Welcome Inn Paper Pumpkin kit back from June 2023. Last I checked this full kit was still available. Die cut or punch some greenery in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green. Make 3 daffodils using either the add on dies or the stamp from the kit. Create your flowers by using the vase, greenery, & daffodils on the lightly colored label. Add a dry embossed layer to a thick white cardbase, add the flower piece to the upper right, and the gingham to the bottom right. Add the flower decorated piece to center left of the card. Add sentiment of choice and embellishments to the card.

1st Alternative Cards For February 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Sweet Springtime

Today I am here to share my first set of alternative cards using the 2024 February Paper Pumpkin Kit named Sweet Springtime. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and blog so you do not miss any additional alternatives made with this kit.

A full list of supplies used will be at the bottom of this post. As always, the best way to see how I made these alternatives if on my video in my YouTube channel. Here is a link to the video.

For the first card, I used the grass frame and bunny/chick die cut from the kit. I also used the stamp set to create a second bunny. I wanted to create a fun scene so I reached for the Rays of Light to create the sunshine background. The sun in the rays comes from the stamps in the 2023-02 kit. I I created some additional grass using the Garden Meadow Dies that are adhered while adhering the frame from the kit over the rays. Next add the die cut bunny & chick from the kit as well as a stamped bunny (colored and cut out) to the bottom inside the frame grass. Die cut and color 3 daffodils from the add-on dies and adhere them behind the grass. To finish off the card I added bees stamped and cut out from the August 2022 kit stamps. The sentiment comes from July 2023 kit stamps.

For the 2nd card I used some of the slimline card base from the kit and created a scene for the stamped and colored adorable chick stamp. I added a dry embossed piece using the Softly Sophisticated 3D embossing folder. Then cut the slimline card base at 4″ from the whole card horizontally (so I can make 2 and have a long strip left). The background was created using the Oceanfront stamp set on a 4 x 2.75″ piece of white cardstock and a mat of Pecan Pie behind. Next, I stamped, colored, and cut out 3 chicks. The clouds are from some old dies I had in my stash. The “hello” is from the December 2023 kit stamps and the “chick” was made using the Alphabest Stamp set and coordinating Best Label punch. Both stamped in Pecan Pie ink. I adhered the flower card base piece so it would line up with the horizon of the scene.
